August Writing, Day 14: PASIV Lullaby

This is just a rough draft of a new poem.

Go to sleep, let dreams take hold.
Watch your fantasy unfold.
There are no beasts under your bed,
In your closet, or in your head.
Be at peace, release your fear.
No enemies can harm you here.
There's no one here who wishes ill,
No thieves who break in, steal, and kill.
You dream within a private space;
You're safer there than anyplace.
And if, when you wake up, you find
Some new idea in your mind,
Your own subconscious brought to light
That revelation in the night.
Be glad you now know what to do;
The inspiration came from you.

I don't know about you, but if I were an extractor, I'd want to have a soft, calming little tune to sing to the mark I'd just drugged while I was setting up the IV lines.

*wicked, evil grin*
