Random Thoughts: What I'm Reading and Watching

On the recommendation of a local friend, I decided to see what My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is all about. I’m four episodes in, watching via Netflix, and I’m enjoying it so far. The world and the characters are interesting. (Yes, I’m a transplanted Star Trek: TNG fan who’s mostly here for John de Lancie, but the first season is winning me over.) Also, since both of the books I’m reading right now are pretty GRIMDARK (The Hunger Games and Slaughterhouse-Five), it’s nice to be able to balance them out with something lighter and softer. :)
